Libya Crisis Appeal

In response to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Libya, Qaaf Aid has launched an urgent appeal to provide emergency assistance to people affected by the on-going crisis.

Tens of thousands of people are continuing to flee the violence in Libya, and the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) says that the situation on the Libya-Tunisian border is reaching crisis point.
As the conflict in Libya escalates, civilians’ lives are increasingly at risk and more than 300,000 people have fled the country.
 

Hundreds of people are dead and thousands are injured. Fierce fighting is continuing between government forces and the opposition in Libya.
Meanwhile air strikes by international coalition forces under the authority of UN resolution 1973 attack military targets.
 

Families have also been left without water, fuel or electricity. Children subjected to assault or witnessing violence are likely to be deeply affected by what they have seen and heard. Their support needs will be vast and long-term.
 

Libya’s children are suffering terrifying violence and upheaval. We urgently need to get them help
Qaaf Aid has set an emergency response team for victims to assist the immediate food and medical needs of the thousands of refugees and Libyans affected by the crisis.
