Pakistan Humanitarian Appeal

Poverty is widespread in Pakistan, and is predominantly a rural phenomenon. 65% of the population lives on less than $2 a day.

Nearly 2/3 of the population of 157 million people live in rural areas. Most rural poor people depend on agriculture for their livelihoods. Many have inadequate access to basic services such as safe drinking water, primary health care, education and other social services.

Pakistan has also hosted up to 3 million Afghan refugees over the past 20 years.

50% of adults in Pakistan can read and write; far fewer women than men. Every year at least 15,000 women die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth and one in ten children die before their fifth birthday.

Our main field of operations in Pakistan are orphanages, homeless and education centres.

QA has ascertained that the number of neglected and abandoned orphans in Pakistan is astonishingly high. Moreover, it is felt that addressing this situation is a duty on all Muslims and the relief of this catastrophe is extremely urgent.

This is a fundamental concern for QA, We aim to increase and multiply our efforts for these kinds of projects. They provide love, understanding, food, clothing, shelter, education, medical care, counselling and most of all, emotional support when needed etc, to as many orphans and special needs children as possible till they reach adulthood. in many parts of the world where there is poverty and hunger, millions of children live in desperate need of the very things we often take for granted e.g. food, education, medicine, safe clean drinking water. Without the most basic things which every human being needs to survive, often denied the chance needed to realise their full potential.

Anjuman Himayat School for Girls houses approximately 500 girls; made up of mostly orphans and homeless girls. Many are from extremely poor backgrounds and have no guardians or carers. These homes provide shelter, security and a safe environment for them to flourish.

Qaaf Aid has supported this school and other like it in Pakistan and Kashmir by directly delivering food supplies, clothing and education aid every six months.

Currently we are supporting over 8 large schools and centres in Pakistan which accommodate thousands of students from very deprived backgrounds.

We also help homeless individuals who are living in the streets, suburbs with absolutely no food or shelter.

We are currently working with homes that house disabled children. These children are very vulnerable and in need of special care. QA is working with locally based charities and NGO’S by winning our efforts in support of these children.

This work would have been impossible without the continuous support & overall generosity of QA DONORS, with your support and generosity we could increase our aid for these schools and orphanages. All our work in Asia is run by our own volunteers.

Please help in supporting our forth coming projects as these people are the forgotten faces of our time.

Please complete a Standing order form for as little as £5 a month to change the lives of the needy.
